Rane O’Neill
Concussions/Brain Injuries: 1
Cause: Hit
Rane’s Story
Three years ago in 2020, I was hit over the head by someone wielding an iron bar. I was sent back to work with a depressed skull fracture and developed post concussion syndrome.
I was already on a broken ankle from 3 weeks prior being misdiagnosed as a sprain so, no time off work.
I didn't feel I had a choice but to continue working. I was driving truck for the van lines at the time, very physical and stressful work.
Note from Rane:
Concussions and head injuries are one thing but I never expected to be treated like some kind of criminal for having one and trying to access help. I have never felt so disenfranchised. - @ranebanr
